Verna Tiegs, M.D., was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She received her B.S. in Biology at DePaul University, and then attended The University of Illinois Medical School, where she received her M.D.
Dr. Tiegs completed her internship at LAC-USC Medical Center. She did her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at White Memorial Medical Center and Martin Luther King Hospital. Dr. Tiegs also completed her Fellowship in Neuroradiology at LAC-USC Medical Center and Childrens' Hospital of Los Angeles.
Dr. Tiegs' prior work experience includes such sites as French Hospital of Los Angeles and Health Care Partners in Montebello and Los Angeles. Since February of 2003, she has worked at The Breast Care and Imaging Center of Orange County (a RadNet corporation). She is married to James Tiegs, M.D., who is also a radiologist for RadNet. Dr. Tiegs and her husband have three grown daughters, and her leisure activities include reading, skiing, and traveling. |
